**Students and parents should be proud of how well this research project is coming. From research, to notes, to drafting -- students have gone through the steps that they will need to know in High School and beyond!
**Monday, Oct. 13th is a teacher in-service day. No school for students!!
Tuesday, Oct. 14th - Students get back rough drafts. All periods except 7th should now have 3 sets of revisions/suggestions (2 peer edits and one teacher edit.)
Quiz today: The Electoral College system and the role of Congress.
Then in the media center, Ms. Swiggum gives us a refresher on Noodletools, a district-wide research citation program. After her presentation students will be getting their works cited ready for the final draft due date on Thursday, October 16th. Students who have already tackled the work cited will be working on revisions.
Wednesday, Oct. 15th - This is the last day for students to revise their papers, create an original cover and/or create a works cited! We will be working on these in class most of the period.
Thursday, Oct 16th - Final papers are due! Students will present a brief of what they have learned about their topic while we have a class celebration.
Friday, Oct. 17th - Moving on to Early European Exploration of the Americas - An overview. We begin a foldables organizer.
