Update -Friday 10/3
Notice - Due to to overall progress and student need, we will have in-class time today to finish research outlines in class.
Notice - On Monday, the 8th grade is hosting Alexandra Fuller, author of "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant", a WY based novel being read aloud in 8th grade HB's.

Week of 9/29
Welcome back folks!
This week we have 2 important due dates for the research project:
Wed. October 1 -- Notes finished with complete citation information attached. Five total sources - 3 non-internet.
Fri. Oct 3 -- Outline/map of paragraph ideas completed at the end of class. Students will be using Inspiration software in class.
AGENDA:
9/29 - a. Election vocab. and specifics regarding the US electoral college.
b. Feedback and debrief of Presidential Candidate Debate.
c. Student Speed Debate format!
9/30 - In media center. Students working on finishing their review and note-taking of sources. Last media center research day.
10/1 - Notes and citations due at start of class. In class, we continue individual conferences, honing thesis statements and begin writing outlines using Inspiration software.
10/2 - Student News - Current Events!
Students continue to develop topic sentences and appropriate details for each of the paragraphs in their research
papers. Fully developed outlines due tomorrow. Unfinished outlines are HW for 10/3.
10/3 - We watch part of the 1st presidential debate of this season with an eye for debate structure and perceptions of the candidates.
