Week of January 12th

Greetings and welcome back from the weekend!

Announcement:

**The Soles4Souls drive has begun. Please donate new or used shoes. They can be left in the labeled orange and red box at the front of the school.

**Standard Assessment on Wed. January 14th - US Constitution Standard.

** Geography Bee preliminary round - 2nd period Tuesday in room 101!

Monday, 12th

1. Remaining Supreme Court group presentations.

2. Immigration/Family Tree Project Introduction

Tuesday, 13th

1. Quality of Life Indicators - Students Examine Comparative Data between states and synthesize demographic trends.

2. Review for Constitution Standard - Clickers

3. Continue to Work on Family Tree Projects.

Wednesday, 14th

1. Students demonstrate their knowledge of the US Constitution and it's application to their lives - Standard Assessment - Matching, short answer and 1 essay - 3 topic choices.

Thursday

1. Finish Quality of Life Data Analysis

2. Continue to construct family trees and prepare for the presentation.
HW: Finish Family Tree project and be prepared to Present!

Friday:

1. Student News/Current Events

2. Read Aloud - Immigration

3. Students begin their presentations - Family Trees

Next Week - Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark Expedition
