Announcements:
1. Parent Teacher Conferences for all grades. Tues and Weds 3:15 - 7:15. Students sign up in Home Base for a time slot.
2. Final Projects Due on Thursday at the start of class. These are Old West, Theme-Based Newspapers.
Agenda:
Monday: We are in the mac lab after a brief review of daily and week-long goals. Students will primarily be formatting their newspapers. Also: Students get to review the grade reports that parents will get at conferences. There will be an after school help session in the mac lab today!
Tuesday: We are in the mac lab - Students will be inserting and citing images, as well as putting final touches on ads, word searches and other non-article components of their newspapers.
Wednesday: Final day of work on newspapers!! Students need to check that ALL required components are included and finish their works cited through "noodletools". Students will take a while to print these authentically sized papers in color to the media center. Works cited must be attached. According to our class syllabus - late projects lose 10% per day, so please plan wisely and ask for help!
Thursday: We get together with students from Mr. Yazz' classes and celebrate a success! Students browse their peer's work and complete at least one formal Peer Evaluation, which will become part of that student's final project grade.
Friday:
There is no school today.
