Thurs. Nov. 1 -- Students first watched CNN Student News and discussed sentencing on terrorists convicted of involvement of in the Madrid train bombing. Afterwards, students examined printing blocks like the ones used to print advertisements for the Virginia Joint Stock Company. We looked at some examples of ads designed to bring colonists to the New World and analyzed the motives of these advertisements.
