It's hard to believe we are already in March and moving towards the close of the 3rd quarter!
Announcements:
** Parent-Teacher Conferences at the Middle School will be Tuesday and Thursday, March first and third. Times: 3-7pm.
** Please check powerschool frequently as we move towards the end of 3rd quarter.
Weekly Agenda:
This week is dedicated to layout and editing of our Westward Expansion Newspapers. We will be working primarily in the iMac lab Monday-Thursday. The project is due Thursday, March 3rd.
Monday: 3rd periodical style article is due at the start of class. Ms. Riley will be teaching a mini-lesson on using MS Publisher to create an authentic, research-based Old West newspaper. These layout skills, along with the photoshop skills learned last week will be utilized at JHHS next year.
Tuesday-Thursday: Students will be peer-editing 3 articles, writing period-appropriate classified ads, and completing layout of the newspapers. A works cited and image citation list is required when the final paper is due on Thursday.
Friday: No School
