**There is a dance this Friday from 7-9 in the JHMS commons.
Weekly Agenda:
Monday:
1. We will be working in color groups with our current event articles from Friday. These were to be completed over the weekend. Students will share questions and challenging vocabulary from the reading.
2. Brief shared reading: Advanced technology/outdated strategy of the Civil War.
3. Gettysburg the movie: Based on Killer Angels, one of our lit. circle options. We watch a clip to reinforce the reading we just shared.
4. Introduce directions and expectations: Civil War Battle project.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Student groups will be working to become experts on one key Civil War battle. They will create a teaching tool with which to inform their classmates. Presentations on Friday.
Thursday:
We will be with Mr. Yazzolino's classes in the media center for a book talk. Seven books will be discussed and students will sign up for a first and second choice. We will begin lit. circles on Tuesday.
Friday:
Student groups will be presenting details of their Civil War battle research and using their teaching tool to educate the class on their subject! The process, product and presentation will be evaluated for a quiz grade.
