Week of April 9th

Welcome back from Spring Break! We had a great trip to the Jackson Hole Historical Society on Friday before break. Also, 10 students placed at National History Day regionals in Dubois and have the option to continue on in Laramie at the state competition next week. This week we will be focusing on turning our Westward Expansion research into authentically written historical fiction articles. Instead of an agenda, this week students will get a checklist to help guide them through the various steps. The final newspapers are due on Thursday! Our next unit of study is the Civil War.

Monday:
______ Finish 3 historical fiction articles of at least 3 paragraphs.
______ Complete Photoshop images if needed.
HW for Tuesday: Finish articles and advertisements. Be ready for layout tomorrow.

______ Peer editing: Have 1-2 students read your articles for simple errors or confusing sentences. Did you include enough research details?

Wednesday:

2.
