1. Explanation of
our preparation plan for the Constitution Standard Assessment. We will be
reviewing in class this week, but students are expected to prepare outside of
class.
2. On Thursday, students read, debated and wrote court
opinions for some key Supreme Court
cases – Today we’ll compare student rulings with actual rulings of the High
Court.

Review Day 1 –
Students will participate in a review activity designed to help them target
what content they need to work on for Thursday’s US Constitution Test*.
*The content of the assessment, which is a TCSD
performance standard includes the following:
1. Three Branches
as defined in Articles I-III
2. Amendments
and amendment scenarios
3. Supreme
Court details and rulings
4. Students
choose one short essay prompt

Review Day 2 – Today students will be
broken into groups based on how they self-rated during yesterday’s review
activities.
* Students will also see and prepare for the essay prompt
choices that are part of tomorrow’s test. Students will choose one prompt and
may begin to collect and organize evidence.
National History
Day building contest and judging today! After school 4-5pm. Come support
our NHD students!

&7: Students may finish essays from yesterday or move forward into a
pre-reading for our Westward Expansion unit.

Wednesday.

** Fourth period class only – Guest Expert Rev. Jack Swan
will talk about his experiences at the March on Washington and during a voter
registration effort in the South.
*This also means
that Fourth Period will take the Constitution Test on Friday.
