Announcements:
**Wednesday, December 8th is the midterm for the second academic quarter. Grade reports will be sent home via homebases. Students will need to have them signed and returned to the HB teacher.
**Remember to check powerschool and this blog at least once per week. Missing assignments or retakes may be completed up until the final week of the quarter.
** No Colt Chronicle Club this week.
** Guitar Club will be held on Thursday in SeƱor G's room from 2:45-3:45.

Monday:
Right Now Activity: Almanac Saying Interpretation
1. Review of instructions and rubric for the Franklin's Follies short research project.
2. Groups assign positions/tasks to members and begin research.
HW: Due tomorrow - Students interpret 12 Poor Richard aphorisms.
Tuesday:
Right Now Activity: "Join or Die" - Students use the SIGHT method to analyze this famous Franklin political cartoon.
1. Final day of research for the Franklin's Follies project. Students will prepare their presentations and be ready for tomorrow.
HW: Due Tomorrow - " A Remarkable Man" Students read and answer questions on Ben Franklin's revolutionary involvement.
Wednesday:
1. Group Presentations: Five groups will present their findings on the many aspects that made Benjamin Franklin a Colonial Renaissance Man extraordinaire! Per the rubric which was reviewed on Friday and Monday, students will be assessed on quality of information, visual aid, cooperative group dynamics, clarity of oral presentation, as well as individual student self-assessments.
Thursday:
1. Pre-teach: Revolutionary Vocabulary and Concepts
2. T-Paine and Common Cents - Students will read excerpts from the infamous pamphlet "Common Sense" and create hip-hop rhymes in their own words to be performed in class.
3. Overview: Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Intolerable Acts
Friday:
1. Finish and Perform Paraphrased "Common Sense".
2. Current Event: Reading and Notes (Open-Notes Quiz early next week).
